The Riserva dello Zingaro extends him in the Western part of the Gulf of Castellammare, in the peninsula of St. Vito Lo Head that leans out on the Tyrrhenian between Castellammare of the Gulf and Trapani. The territory reverts for big part in the commune of St. Vito Lo Head and in smaller measure in the commune of Castellammare; it extends him along 7 km of coast and almost 1.700 have of uncontaminated nature.

The coast is formed from quaternary calcareniti and from calcareous reliefs of the Mesozoico of nature dolomitica, with cliffs that from a maximum height of 913 ms (Mountain Speziale) they steeply degrade toward the sea, intercalated from numerous calette.
